Jack Dawson said that he learned some of his sense of seamanshiip near his home near Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, on Lake Wissota. Trouble is, Lake Wissota was not even there until 1917, five years after the Titanic hit bottom. The discrepancy was noticed in the Wisconsin state papers.
